Fear of the Future

Well, here we are.... almost at the end of the year.
What's been going in your life? What are you looking forward to?
Lately, my mind has been all but consumed by the thoughts the future and the anxiety that comes from not knowing. Does this happen to you?
I've been feeling this way for some time now. So much so that this pressure is becoming common.
This fear, or whatever it is, has been with me for so long that I don't remember when the first time it carried it was. The more time it's with me, the more something tells me "This isn't how it's supposed to be!"
Like the way obesity becoming is more common among Americans we begin to realize that "THIS ISN'T HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE!"

During these past few days I've been spending more time praying as well.
Prayer and reading of the Bible has brought amazing clarity to my thoughts. It's not a coincidence that as I've been praying for peace and relief from my fears of the future, God has reminded me of a verse I used to share with others when they would share their burdens with me.
It's found in Philippians 4: 6,7
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

I need this peace to guard my heart.

We NEED this peace to guard our minds.

God has given me a clearer vision that I could not see. His mercy has given me peace and I know he'll do the same for you!
I'm not worried about the future anymore, God is already there and he wants to take your worries too.

May your great Lord continue to show you He is mighty in power. May you be reminded that His understanding has no limit, and may you give Him your worries as you trust in Him.
